KIA Tigers and Samsung Lions are set to play the second game of the 2024 Shinhan SOL Bank KBO postseason Korean Series (KS, best out of seven) at 6:30 p.m. on the 28th at KIA Champions Field in Gwangju. 메이저사이트

The home team KIA has secured three wins by winning the first and second games in Gwangju and the fourth games in Daegu. With one more win, the team can achieve its 12th win. Having secured 92.6 percent, the team's chance to win the Korean Series, is committed to running to 100 percent. 

Kia Tigers foretold Yang as its starting card for Game 5 to accomplish this feat. He brought the mood of the series with a shutout in the second round in 2017, and decided to win the title with a shutout in the fifth round. He is thus set to start at an important watershed once again. 

Yang played 171 ⅓ innings in 29 regular league games, recording 11 wins, 5 losses and an ERA of 4.10. He ranked first overall in the KBO league with 2076 strikeouts, and achieved 170 innings for the first time in 10 consecutive seasons, setting a new record that could be called a "great pitcher."

Yang did not have good performance against Samsung this season with an earned run average of 5.13 points, without winning or losing in five games. However, he won the game by allowing eight hits and two walks (one earned run) during five ⅓ innings in the second game, setting a new record as oldest starting pitcher for a Korean player at the age of 36 years, seven months and 22 days. 

On the other hand, Samsung, which is on the brink of collapse, announced that left-hander Lee Seung-hyun will be the starting member for Game 5. Lee posted six wins, four losses and an earned run average of 4.23 in 17 games during this regular season. He posted an earned run average of 3.00 in the game against KIA. 

In this post-season, Lee played only as a bullpen. In three playoff games with the LG Twins, he allowed one run in two ⅓ innings and one run in the first KS game with the KIA Tigers.
